December #I, a wrap-up I am doing out of obligation more than anything

It’s time for another monthly wrap-up, which is not good at all. But. I promise you’ll see in my next post. that i will do BETTER NEXT YEAR. (Look out for my best 18 of 2018, coming later today!)

I’m sure you’ve all figured out by now that I’m not joking with this whole I-do-nothing-but-school-reading thing, lmao. But here’s the THING: these were my two December Netgalley arcs, so yay for that.

why I do this: I think a big problem in the book community is that the diverse books we’re all looking for are out there, they just don’t get very much attention or spotlight. In fact, whenever I mention diverse books, I’ll get a slew of comments saying “but none of those books exist” when they clearly do, you just have to look. So here’s a basic listing of rep in books I read this month in case you’re looking for something specific or just want to know if any of the books I read this month are for you.

KEY
🏳️‍🌈 lgbtq lead / major side chars
☀️ lead characters of color
🌸 neurodiversity, disability, trauma

[[[also none this month. sad.]]]

And that’s all for the wreck that was 2018!
Are either of these literal two books on your TBR? Any you hate? Any you love? Any you suddenly want to read? Let me know down in the comments!
