July Posts #IV // Book Haul, Author Events, and One Thousand Posts I Adored

So since I have a lot of posts now, this has been made into a book haul post, a meeting authors wrap-up, and a list of posts I’ve loved this month. So instead of book hauls only, these wrap-ups function as yet another section of my monthly wrap-up posts! I think this will add a little more dimension to these posts, which I’ve tended to find kind of boring in the past [don’t kill me].

Anyway. They’re not boring anymore!

None this month! I was out of town all month. Though half of it was at a writing camp, so I definitely have an excuse for meeting no one.

This has to be my smallest book haul ever. I wasn’t even on a ban last month and I only got four books; two from a used bookstore, an unsolicited review copy, and then ONE digital arc I actually requested [thanks, Melanie]. It was a very weird month, but honestly, this was probably good.

Kindle Arcs

  • Strange Grace by Tessa Gratton [thanks to McElderry for this!!]

  1. I'm glad to hear Strange Grace is working for you! It was on my TBR since I finished The Queens of Innis Lear, but I had heard nothing about it until this month – and now everyone is talking about it and I want to read it (…but it won't be out for more than a month).

  2. I love you and I can’t wait to FULLY gush with you (forever) about Strange Grace! Also – my power just came back but… get ready for more angsty snaps about Fallen Angels because JACE WANTS TO BE MISERABLE AND JOE DIRT SO BAD AND I CAN’T DEAL! 💖xx

  4. Ahhh, Elise! ♥ You’re so sweet. Thank you for the shout-out. And yes to Strange Grace! I’ve got that one waiting on me and I’m super excited. I still feel a little iffy about Tessa Gratton as a person, after the shit that came out about her RE: harassing assault victims earlier this year, but at the same time, this is one of those really rare circumstances where I want to try separating art from artist because I’m told SG has polyam rep, which is something I’ve never actually read on-page in any book, and I’m here for it. I hope we both love it!!
